P0703 - Brake Switch Performance

Symptoms

- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Brake lights inoperative

Possible Causes

- Open or short brake switch circuit
- Poor brake switch connection
- Misadjusted brake switch
- Damaged brake switch

Possible Solution

Check if the stop light works with the brake pedal, if the brake lights are inoperative, replaced or adjust the brake switch.
